patimageA training session with Pat Blackford is a perfect combination of intensity and fun.  Pat demands the most out of his clients, and will push you past your limits but always while having a laugh at the same time.  He has a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Springfield College and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  Pat has been active his entire life, he started out playing sports at the age of 5 and by 10 he was working out on a regular basis with his dad at home.  He participated in football, lacrosse, and wrestling in high school and when college came he put the focus on football, playing strong safety for 4 years at Springfield.  To add to Pat’s fitness experience, he also interned with the Buffalo Bills with a concentration on strength and conditioning.  Pat believes total fitness is more than just excelling at one thing and he puts this belief to practice when he trains.  He uses a different workout routine in every session so his clients get to experience the entire gym and all the equipment.  Pat also teaches a variety of our specialty classes, including gravity and humansport.  Pat’s passion for health doesn’t stop in the gym, he is conscientious about nutrition as well.  His favorite healthy meal is taco salad: organic tortilla chips, ground turkey, sliced avocado, cucumbers, olives, and tomatoes, topped with salsa and nonfat greek yogurt.
