Run Club with Lisa Rex – Tuesdays 8:30 – 9:30 am
Lisa will be formating the class/club based on the interests and goals of those attending. We will be starting out basic with Lisa speaking on form, pacing, injury prevention, strength training and other questions runners may have. We will then work into some base distance training which can be tailored to each persons current fitness level and goals. Our plans are to get some outdoor running in before the weather turns to chilly and then switch to treadmills. Lisa will have route options for people to choose from based on current fitness levels and all paces are welcomed. The ultimate goal is to encourage more people to begin running regularly, begin building a base for endurance and then add in some fun speed workouts for those with goals to get faster. We will also discuss where to begin your program for anyone who may be interested in running the Buffalo half or full marathon….we have had a several members show interest in that as a goal. If you have any further questions please feel free to stop by the gym and Lisa will be happy to discuss further. The great thing about running is all levels can do it together in some fashion even if your not running right next to someone! So lace up your sneaks, we hope to see you there!
